On June 14, First Lady Crissy Haslam helped celebrate Delta Dental of Tennessee’s Smile Power Week by reading with children at Nashville Public Library’s Looby Branch about the importance of oral health.
After being introduced by Delta Dental of Tennessee Smile Ambassador Shanda Brown, Mrs. Haslam read to the children. Governor’s Books from Birth Foundation President Theresa Carl and other GBBF staff were on hand to sign up new children for the program. Marshall Molar gave high fives and welcomed children who came to the library’s morning story time.
Delta Dental of Tennessee and the Tennessee Charitable Care Network joined forces to celebrate Smile Power Week, from June 12 to June 16, to raise awareness of oral health in the state of Tennessee. As a statewide partner, Governor’s Books from Birth Foundation, in partnership with Tennessee’s Imagination Library, joined Delta Dental of Tennessee in hosting this event to promote Smile Power Week and the importance of early reading in Tennessee.
