Tennessee State Museum Launches Weekly Imagination Library Storytime

Governor’s Books from Birth Foundation (GBBF) partnered with the newly renovated Tennessee State Museum to launch a weekly Imagination Library Storytime in the children’s area, featuring an Imagination Library book and special guest reader each week. Additionally, an Imagination Library Reading Corner was added to the children’s area, and GBBF donated over 40 books for families and children to enjoy.

To celebrate GBBF’s partnership with the Tennessee State Museum, First Lady Crissy Haslam served as the first special guest reader to kick-off the Imagination Library Storytime on Thursday, October 18. First Lady Haslam read the Imagination Library book, My Lucky Day. Following the reading, children and families were invited to create fox masks to further engage with the book, which features a fox as the main character.

The children’s area is brightly painted with a map of Tennessee, featuring historical landmarks and special attractions across the state. We encourage you to visit this state-of-the-art museum. Every exhibit is interactive and fun for the whole family. Admission is free! Imagination Library Storytime will occur every Thursday morning.
